Pysansky Workshop

Easter is coming!  This year, why not add some beautiful pysanky to your basket? Pysanky are colorful eggs decorated with intricate designs using beeswax, a stylus, a candle, dyes and traditional Slavic techniques. 

If you would like an opportunity to learn this timeless art form, please join us for a Pysanky Workshop on Saturday, April 8 in Classroom A from 10 am to 12 pm.  

The class is $15 per person and open to participants 10 years old and up. (All children must be accompanied by an adult.) The registration fee includes all the tools and materials you'll need to make at least one egg, plus hands-on instruction from experienced Pysanky instructor, Miriam Epskamp.

Ingrid Bond School of Dance

Ms. Bond was founder and artistic director of Afterimages Repertory Dance Company, a professional modern dance touring company based in Louisville, KY. She majored in dance at Michigan State University and taught ballet and modern classes through MSU’s “Orchesis” program. She was a member of the MSU Repertory Dance Company as a performer, choreographer, costumer and set designer. She has worked with members of the Alvin Ailey and Pilobolus Dance Theatres, Paul Koverman of the California Ballet, James Truitte, former member of the Lester Horton Dance Theatre, and performed works by Isadora Duncan, Doris Humphrey, Charles Weidman, Jody Oberfelder, Douglas Hamby and Harry Streep. Call (231) 398-3336 for more information.
