The City Charter
is the basic document that defines the organization, powers, functions and essential procedures of the City of Manistee. On May 2, 2017 superseded charter provisions
were made to the City Charter.
The City of Manistee Codified of Ordinance
is the end product of the process of research, review, revision and organization of the local laws and ordinances into a comprehensive document. A codified ordinance must be formally adopted and amended.
The Zoning Ordinance
is based upon a plan to promote the public health, safety and general welfare while establishing districts for residential, commercial and industrial uses.
