There is frequently confusion about what types of bills can be paid at City Hall. Many times, residents confuse payments that are handled by Manistee County. The city does not accept payments for:
  • Birth Certificates
  • Cable TV Bills (Charter Communications)
  • Electric Bills (Consumers Energy)
  • Natural Gas Bills (DTE)
  • Township Property Taxes (Property outside City Limits)
  • Concealed Weapon Permits
  • Court Records
  • DBAs (Doing Business As)
  • Death Certificates
  • Delinquent Real Property Taxes (Pay at Manistee County Treasurer)
  • Dog Licences: Mar 2 to Nov 30 at County; Dec 1 to Mar 1 at City
  • Moving Violations (Traffic Citations)
  • Recording a Document
  • Registering a Deed
