September 3, 2012 marks the Second Annual Labor Day Bridge Walk organized by  the City of Manistee Non-Motorized Transportation Committee.  The walk begins and ends at the Fifth Avenue Beach House.  The walk will start at 9 am.  

Participants can take the five mile route (same length as the Mackinac Bridge Walk) over both of Manistee's Bridges and to both beaches or can shorten their walk to three miles and skip going to First Street Beach.  The event has been designed for people of all abilities to participate.

This event along with the Healthy Active Manistee  (H.A.M. it Up!) event are the two main events sponsored by the Non-Motorized Transportation Committee to  encourage people to include healthy activities in their daily routine.
